This is my baby, my one great deal. I own a sterrett micrometer (CAT No. 230) as well as other starrett tools and have chosen random things to test my caliper when I got it (with the micrometer as the standard). Well after spending the better part of an after noon I found it to be vary accurate throughout the range. Throughout the range it was off an avg of .0002 to .0005 I noticed it veering tords about .0007 off every now and then. I didn't just measure close to the body I went to the end of the jaw where the knive edges are too. As long as you don't use too much force there is probly no more than a minus .0001 .0002 deference. This is better than most of the under $40 or non metal ones I've tried. There are much cheaper ones that are accurate plus/minus .001 to .0015 but they just don't seem to stay that way if your rough with them. Even this economy model with the plastic dial face cover is still about as accurate today as when I bout it on sale from starrett over a year ago ($65 YEAH BOY!!!). I use it about every weekend on little projects here and there in the garage and to measure parts for lawnmowers. I've dropped the thing a few times and had stuff rotate buy accident in the jaws but it's still accurate to about .001 or slightly less throughout the range. I thought about getting their 120 model with the crystal, but knew it would get scratched anyway so I went with the much cheaper 1202 and am vary pleased with it. It also comes with (should come with) a quality control card singed personally buy the inspector and a nice plastic case with a somewhat fitted hard foam.
I wouldn't buy off here until you check some local tool retailers or other web sites, you should be able to get it under $100.

0-1" Dial Indicator With Magnetic Base By Peachtree Woodworking - PW1234 Review

0-1 Dial Indicator With Magnetic Base By Peachtree Woodworking - PW1234
Average Reviews:

This is an excellent heavy duty Dial indicator. I recommend this unit strongly. Strong robust construction throughout. Strong easily adjustable clamps. Large ~ ? dia heavily chrome plated solid steel posts. Large easy read dial. Dial settable for both Zero and Tolerance range. Dead on accuracy. Comes in a nice strong case. Even has multipage instructions that (if needed) are very easy to follow. Instructions are even written by someone who first language was obliviously English. I was initially looking at the Dial Indicator from the Girr..... Company. The Grr.. unit was about 10 dollars cheaper, but many reviews here indicated flimsy construction. This is definitely not the case for the unit from Peachtree. I made the right choice, definitely worth the ten bucks more! I also ordered the multiple tip set direct from Peachtree (not available from Amazon) for $16.00, very reasonable.

FLIP STOP - 3/8" FOR HEAVY DUTY T-TRACK By Peachtree Woodworking - PW1104 Review

FLIP STOP - 3/8 FOR HEAVY DUTY T-TRACK By Peachtree Woodworking - PW1104
Average Reviews:

The stop is nicely machined and finished and works fine for my purposes. It would be a little better if it had more washers, perhaps the nylon types, to secure the stop for repeatable measurements, while allowing it to move rather freely. I put a couple of extra washers on it, which made it more to my liking.
The item came without instructions and was missing 1 of the 2 washers that were supposed to be included. Not a big deal, but would be annoying to anyone not having a washer handy to replace it.

The Flip Stop is easy to use. Just slide it onto your T-track and set it up to the measurement you need. You can make the exact cut repeatedly without the hassle of measuring each time. If you do need to make an odd or special cut, just flip the stop up, make that special cut and then lower the stop again to continue making your repeat cuts without having to re-measure.

Measure Pro Template Review

I was very happy with the ease of use in determining where the holes for the knobs and/or cabinet handles should go according to the product. I would highly recommend it. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is due to the fact that I ultimately decided upon 128mm cabinet hardware. These are European measurements that are fast becoming popular. The product accomodates all standard knobs/handles just not the larger sizes. I still used the product but had to modify it to fit my hardware. Just keep that in mind when purchasing the product. For the price, it's invaluable if you want your knobs to look uniform and professionally done.

Wixey WR700 Saw Fence Digital Readout Review

Wixey WR700 Saw Fence Digital Readout
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had some extra money from Christmas gifts and I wanted to splurge on something I didn't need but knew that I would love to have. This table saw fence gauge is great. I can zero it whenever I want with different blades, dado stacks and even on my router wing. I think it's great I can make routered dados and accurate distances without much thinking. You can switch between absolute measurements (from zero with blade) to short term measurements if you just wanted to cut 1" strips or something. It zeros quickly and keeps its measurement if it's on or off. If it is off and I move my fence, when I turn it on it knows where it should be. I'm no engineer so I haven't gotten the dial indicators out, but it seems very true.
Also with my G1023SLWX I did not have to drill any holes. The fence fit on the existing bolts for my Shop Fox Classic fence. I have about 1/16" clearance on the digital display...basically perfect. I also was able to use the supplied magnet bracket that connects to the fence. A little shaping in my vise and we were on the way. I didn't drill anything with my Grizzly table saw with Shop Fox Classic fence.
The negative: the fence that the indicator slides on is two pieces of aluminum. I had to square them (used a disk sander and file) both to connect them together as well as file any burs that would catch the device. I think they could square them pretty easily and that would make things much easier.
I agree with someone on Amazon...1/1000" is almost too much. I think 1/64 with arrow indicators to the nearest 1/32 would suit almost everyone. I have put a fraction to digital conversion chart on my tablesaw just to remember.
I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could only because it's not perfect out of the box, but it is now.
