(More customer reviews)I purchased this caliper to use for model building but found it to be accurate enough to be used for much more. I now use it (when needed) for case preparation when reloading metallic cartridges, and believe it would satisfy most mechanics for engine and light machine work.
Easily switches SAE / Metric with a single button. The zero button allows easy calibration, comparison measurements, and makes using the depth gauge much easier.
Operates the same as Vernier calipers I have used that cost three to four times what this one costs.
Includes an extra battery and a decent storage case.
Resolution: 0.0005" (0.01mm).
Believe the stated accuracy is correct at .001" / 0.02mm (< 100mm); 0.001" / 0.03mm (100mm - 200mm).
Repeatability: 0.0005" / 0.01mm
Slightly less shock resistant than mechanical and dial type caliper.
Overall a great buy for the price. I am completely satisfied with this set.
