(More customer reviews)Just like my cordless drill, I cannot remember what life was like before the extend-o-level. This level allows you to plumb walls without having to touch the studs, which may be warped, bowed, crowned, etc. You extend the level to touch only the top and bottom plates for an accurate reading. It is great on any height walls. It has one flat side so it can be used as a standard 4' level and one inch offsets on the other side for plumbing. You can buy a standard rectangular, padded gun case that works great for a protective case. I recommend this level to any framing carpenter and many have stopped to inquire about mine. It seems expensive until you get it and realize it was money very well spent.

The Plumb-It Extendable Level is an innovative device designed for the building industry. Its primary function is to save time and assure unparallel precision in determing "Plumb" and "Level" when placing or erecting structural members. Built-in one-inch offsets allow point to point or top to bottom plate reading instantly without add-ons. Crowned or bowed structural members can be sent end to end, then straightened if necessary. Built-in straight edge on flush side allow accurate readings for straightness and and can be used as a gage to shim against. Interlocking triple anodized I-beam design prevents damage from bending. Precision milled vials made of clear, highly polished acrylic are accurate to .057 degrees or 1/1000 of measured length. Vials are fixed, but replaceable. Extends from compressed length of 51 in. to 10 ft. 8 in., and anywhere in between. Remains rigid when extended due to patented grip release mechanism.
