(More customer reviews)I got tired of buying the cheap ones at Job Lot, at least one every year at around $5.00 - There's no comparison as far as the construction and materials used when compared to the cheapo models.
I don't really abuse my tooling while out in the field however IMHO I think this one would stand up even if I did. No doubt a rugged tape measure.
