(More customer reviews)If you're buying or interested in buying this caliper because it is or is supposed to be made by an American company you will be very disappointed. It is actually made in China, as most of our industry seems to be these days. Its funny that we call ourselves patriots and betray that very sentiment in our dealings with foreign companies, manufactories, and dealers. Those so-called American companies such as Starrett are the biggest betrayers of all, for they want nothing but profit and only for themselves.
The caliper is as a caliper should be; however, it is the small caliper in the second photo.
