(More customer reviews)I have several of these little brass calipers, from a couple differant sources. Shop Fox, Lee Valley, Grizzly all offer versions of them. Can't say one is better than the other. But they all are very handy and quick to use. I also have several Sterrit dial calipers, very accurate and very expensive. These little slide calipers are much easier to use and accurate enough for most woodworking applications. They really shine when thickness planing or dimension sanding on the drum sander. I keep one hanging on the planer and one on the drum sander (so I don't have to search for one, they hide from me). While they won't measure down to .0000001, they will get you within a 1/16" and that is plenty good for me. After all it is wood we are talking about here.
Recommend every woodworker get a couple of these, very handy and inexpensive.
