(More customer reviews)This stud finder is completely useless. I tried finding stud on a drywall. According to it, the stud edges are about 6 inches apart. In fact they are only 1.5 inch apart. The readings varied each time. Luckily I had access to a wall where I could see the studs from one side. I could verify that readings were totally off. I hope that I got a defective unit and it is not a problem with every unit.
