Digital Height Gauge Review

Just received this today and had to try it out right away. It seems to be well built and has a nice weight to it. Doesnt feel cheap. Plus the magnetic base is a plus. This is one of the cheaper ones that I found that has the magnetic base. I believe in a non-magnetic surface like most router tables you will probably have to hold down on the base while taking your readings. I dont believe it weighs enough to keep itself firmly planted. But I doubt any of them do for that matter. It appears to be accurate. I set it on a flat surface and set it to zero and slide it up and down and it always returned to zero when I slid it down all the way. I wish it would have included a plastic case like the cheaper MLCS unit does. But it comes in a nice box with a nice styrofoam insert so I believe that will just be the storage case. I also love the decimal standard and metric readings as well as the standard fraction reading. You can switch between those readings with the push of a button. Overall I believe you will be satisfied with this gauge if you are looking for an inexpensive unit with alot of features.
