(More customer reviews)Bought it to test the starting power consumption of a sump pump to size an inverter. The "max" button allows the device to display only the maximum starting amps. Without the "max" button, it will display and hold running amps. Device also tests volts and continuity. Directions are clear even for a non-techy like me.
