(More customer reviews)I use open reel tapes all day long, every day, year round, in all wheather conditions. First of all, you can't find a GOOD open reel tape in any hardware, or wholesaler I've been in. For that reason, I always order 3 to a time, and go through all three every year. I've tried all the better brand tapes on this site. They all claim thier product is the best, yet they all fall apart, easily break, coatings separate from the steel blades, ends rust / tear off, etc.. The last three I bought were these Black Rhino 00031 Gear X 100-Ft Tapes. I'm here to tell you they are by far, the BEST tapes I've ever owned. All the rest are JUNK compared to these tapes. Nothing has broke. Nothing has rusted away. Nothing has ripped. Nothing has cracked. The coating does NOT separate from the steel blade. They don't fall apart, etc.. This tape has been abused over, and over, and over, for better than a year,And is still going strong. Remember, I buy 3 to a time. In case anyone is wondering; the other two Black Rhino 00031 Gear X 100-Ft Tapes are still brand new in the package. I can't say enough good about these tapes. I'll probably buy 6 more of these tapes in the near future. Not because I need them now, but because I don't want ANY other tape. Seems like anything that holds up too well, disappears from the market.
