(More customer reviews)I've owned this tape for three years, but as you might imagine, it's not a daily use tool. At 300 feet it can save a lot of time with larger measurements - I've used it for laying out a very large garden, fencing projects and site preparation for construction. The PowerWinder feature is a great idea, but keep in mind the greater force that needs to be applied to the winder. I think this is where Stanley under-engineered the attachment of the winder to the reel - just a thin metal rod housed in plastic. Over time and use this rod can't stand up to the stress of the 3:1 gearing and wears out. This reel is a drag to wind up without a handle.
