I have owned it for over 15 years and to this day, use it so religiously that a holster would not be uncalled for. It is exceptionally easy to read with astounding precision and includes a handy decimal equivalent chart on the back. I lost the clip long ago and don't miss it - not very pocket friendly. Although very flexible, it's thin edge makes it extremely useful as a straightedge when aligning components. When woodworking, it serves as a light duty scraper for fine-tuning joinery or cleaning glue joints. I have a beautiful 12" Mitutoyo rigid rule that I also like, but it's this that goes everywhere with me. I am so dependant on this rule that I sought out replacement availability in anticipation of the tragic day in which I finally misplace it. When I found it here on Amazon, I was shocked at its ridiculously low price and simply had to voice my praise.
