This is a nice calculator, but has some shortcomings. I use it for both useful and what I call useless information. For instance, I purchased a ten foot diameter pool that is four feet deep. I want to know how many gallons of water it takes to fill the pool. Press [5][Feet][x2] [X] [pi] [X] [4][Feet] to get the volume of 314.16 cubic feet. Next press [gal] to convert to 2,350 gallons. That's a lot of water to fill the pool. Now for the useless info, I wonder how much 2,350 gallons of water weighs? Press [lbs] to get the answer of 19,612 pounds. Now that's heavy! Or say you just bought a 150 gallon fish tank. Press [1][5][0][gal][lbs] to discover that the tank will hold 1251 pounds of water. You better have a sturdy stand for that tank. The calculator comes preprogrammed for the weight of water by volume. You can change the variable to the weight of gravel, sand, gas, diesel or anything else as long as you know their weight per unit beforehand. It would be nice if you could toggle through some pre-programmed values of common materials and then have a custom value that you could use for anything else.
Another nice feature is that this calculator doesn't only do US standard to metric or metric to US standard conversions like most calculators. It will also do US standard to US standard and metric to metric conversions. So you can convert from miles to yards to feet to inches and so on. It supports decimal or fractions with feet and inch measurements (in 1/64" increments). You can also perform math functions with mixed US standard and metric units. For example, you can add, subtract, multiply or divide 200 feet by 50 meters. When you store a number in memory, it also stores the measurement unit with it.
Some lacking features are that it doesn't support quarts, pints, cups, tbsp, or tsp for volume measurements. It only supports gallons, fluid oz, liters, and ml. I own their kitchencalc which does do these conversions. But this is the ultra measure master and I think it should do these conversions as well. While it supports gallons per minute it doesn't support gallons per hour (which is common for pumps). Sure you can multiply gpm by 60 to get gph, but the display will still show the measurement unit as gpm after you do the calculation. Because these are common measurements I took two stars off.
Some other units it doesn't support are imperial measurements, bushel, cord, nautical mile, knots, liters per minute or cubic foot per minute/second. While this is the best conversion calculator I've found so far, I still think there is plenty of room for improvement just by adding more measurement units along with some constant weight values for common materials. It would also be nice if it had a comma number seperator for thousands and millions.
