(More customer reviews)This measuring device works well. Since this is the first laser-measuring device I've personally used, I'm still getting used to the accuracy required to get a good reading. That is, you have to maintain level-ness and have a fairly good reflective material to aim at. It will take some readings on an angle. I have not used the extension (ultra-sonice)yet. Using within manufacturing environment- line of sight often difficult. Overall, this will assist in plant measurments where tape measures cannot reach, or measuring with just one person.

A revolutionary measuring gadget! Here's a device that can calculate length, width, area and even volume at the touch of a button. This intelligent Electronic Distance Measuring Tools send out narrow beams of sound waves that can "bounce" off solid objects back to the hand-held receiver. Custom electronics and a microprocessor then convert elapsed time into a distance measurement and display it on the LCD. When used with its electronic target, the Dual unit mode uses both sound waves and an infrared beam. This Electronic Distance Measuring Tool has a built-in calculator to add linear measurements and compute areas and volumes. This is a two- range measurement kit. You can use single unit for measure a distance less than 60 feet (18 meters) , a good choice for indoor measurement; with the target unit, you can measure up to 250 feet (75meters) with an accuracy of 99.5%?1 cm. You can get results in meters or in feet. It's fool proof and simple to use: just point at a target, press a button , instant measurement, whether it's length, area or volume. Specifications: Single unit mode: Minimum 1 foot 6 inches (0.46 m); Maximum: 60 Feet(18Meters); Dual unit mode: Minimum: 3 feet 3 inches(1 meter); Maximum: 250 Feet (75 Meter). 7 memories for easy calculations of the area and volume; Accuracy 99.5%?1 cm. Size: Main unit 5 1/2" X 3" X 1 1/2 "; Target Unit: 5 3/4 "X 2 3/4 "X 1 ".
